What are non-critical errors and why do I need to correct them?
Though non-critical errors do not affect the tax or credit amount due for a report period, they have the potential to become critical errors when subsequent amendments are processed. In addition, incorrect information provided to the Comptroller’s office will impact the data provided to the Texas Legislature and other entities that make important decisions for the state, including the estimation of state revenues for budgeting purposes and valuations for property tax appraisals.
