What are noise canceling headphones?
Noise cancelling headphones have circuitry to eliminate outside noise (typically machine or engine noise like on an airplane, not so much talking or random noise.) Noise cancelling models made by Bose® (such as the QuietComfort® 2 (QC2) and QuietComfort® 3 (QC3) require replaceable or rechargeable batteries to function and typically cost about twice the price of the comparable form factor Bose® TriPort® headphones. Bose® QuietComfort® noise canceling models won’t work at all if the battery is dead, even if you forgo the noise cancellation feature. See our Bose® TriPort headphones.
