What are NiMH batteries?
Battery chargers come in all shapes, sizes and prices. These chargers tend to be a bit more bulky than those charging proprietary Lithium-ion batteries. Charging times differ from 1 hour up to approximately 8 hours. If you want to keep the price low, get the slower charging units as they tend to be much cheaper and less heavy or bulky. With a bit of planning you wouldn’t really be too much inconvenienced: just charge the batteries overnight while you sleep. I use a “GP Powerbank H650C” which is fast, fairly lightweight and quite affordable seeing how fast it charges (approximately 1 hour). NiMH are a type of rechargeable battery. They have replaced the older NiCd batteries in many countries as they’re vastly superior in charge capacity and have a lower environmental impact. Digital camera’s using AA batteries will need NiMH’s (or disposable Alkaline or Lithium) batteries due to their heavy power usage which NiCd batteries just can’t deliver.
