What are nice places to visit in Europe this summer?
In my opinion, Rome is about as wonderful a spot to visit, as you can hope for. • It’s a fantastic walking city (which is great, because the drivers are crazy) • There is a tremendous amount of history (forum, coliseum, baths, it just keeps going and going) • The food is fantastic. You can walk into just about any restaurant, no matter the price range, and have an absolutely wonderful meal! • I love sitting at a little bar, drinking a $5 bottle of good wine, and watching the world walk by • Gilato • They appreciate tourists! Every menu has at least 3 languages on it and one is ALWAYS english (try that in Paris!). Many, many people speak English. As an American with limited foreign language skills, I found Rome to be a very easy, comfortable, enjoyable vacation. Sources: Been there!
