What are newsgroups, and who runs them?
Campus runs the Usenet newsgroup services: http://email.ucdavis.edu/newsgroups/newsgroups.html The Usenet server, news.ucdavis.edu, maintains over 18,000 newsgroups which are organized by topic categories known as “hierarchies”. If you know of a group which exists at another site but we don’t seem to carry, send a request to have it added to the Usenet Administrator at usenet@ucdavis.edu.
