If there is a need for more than one server in Clusterpoint DBMS configuration, then high-speed Ethernet switching equipment must be used for connecting all Clusterpoint hardware servers into a cluster setup. It is recommended to use non-blocking network switching infrastructure, if the system is going to be run as a very fast grid-type database. For this purpose a separate IP address space and hierarchical network topology of servers and switches may be used.
