What are needs assessments?
Needs assessments are documents that list crucial information (e.g. how many people affected, made homeless, injured; what kind of assistance the government of the affected country can provide on its own and what it will need from the international community in order to address the needs of survivors; etc.) that helps donor countries, including Canada, to understand the impact of a given disaster, respond to the specific needs of survivors (e.g. emergency shelter and food), direct assistance to the areas identified as the highest priorities and coordinate with each other to ensure that there are no duplications or gaps in the global response. Each older adult and each caregiving situation is unique. Just like “one size does not fit all”; your caregiving needs are uniquely yours. We want to be able to help meet YOUR needs. The ElderCARE Needs Assessments will help identify your needs and connect you to the information and resources that can help. Each Needs Assessment is a survey about 20 questions long, and will take about 10 minutes to complete. As soon as you complete the assessment and submit your information you will receive an individualized report identifying areas of need and directing you to review certain sections of this site. Your assessments will be stored on the site under your member login so you can refer to it later if need be.
