What are necessary attributes for students taking an online English course?
Students who take any online course should be self-motivated and independent learners. That means online students need to show a mature level of initiative and be willing to learn and work on their own, often with minimal assistance from the instructor. The online learner should also be able to manage time effectively, staying up with the reading and writing assignments and avoiding procrastination. In addition, online students should know their equipment and its capabilities. This course is focused on developing and sharpening reading and writing skills at the first-year college level. It is not a course in teaching you about computers and how to use email. It is assumed that students already possess that knowledge and those skills.
