What are natural, handmade soaps?
Natural soaps use natural ingredients such as vegetable oils, pure essential oils, and natural colorings like turmeric and henna. These oils combine to cleanse and moisturize the skin. Most commercial soaps are factory made, where the ingredients go through many stages of extrusion and milling, to get the hard, smooth bar that you see in stores. Handmade soaps are manually created, using basic implements and with hardly any processing. This helps to retain the properties of the ingredients.
