What Are Mythical Creatures?
A myth is what is referred to as a legend or something forming part of a story that did not actually take place. Mythical creatures are those generally found in stories and legends. They do not exist in actual fact but attest the vividness of mans imagination. They include humans with bizarre and God like abilities much like the superheroes of today and amazing fantasy animal like creatures. Mythical creatures include Centaurs (half horse half man), there is a belief that they may have become a part of Greek mythology when the Greeks observed riders for the first time coming in from modern day Turkey. The most famous Centaur in Greek mythology was Chiron, the teacher of such legends as Achilles, Ajax, Jason and many more.
