What are my transportation options in the Champaign-Urbana area?
Travelling inside Champaign-Urbana, the Mass Transit District for Champaign Urbana offers an annual pass for $60 effective July 2009. The regular fare is $1 per ride or one token per ride. Transfers are free. Six tokens can be purchased for $5.00 from any bus operator prior to 7:00 pm. All University of Illinois students, faculty and staff have unlimited access to all routes and services at all times simply by presenting a valid i-card to the operator. Bike paths are available throughout campus and this is a very popular transportation alternative. There are numerous bike shops in the area that provide excellent service and parts.
