What are my time commitments in online learning?
As with all other Additional Qualification courses, there is a time commitment of 125 hours for full courses. This time commitment includes online reading, participation in discussions, reflection and preparation of assignments. To learn and contribute effectively, you need to spend significant extended periods of time online. Due dates and commitments are just as important in online courses as they are in face-to-face classes. Online AQ courses with Continuing Education are discussion driven. They are comprised of large and small group dialogue, as well as individual reading, reflection and assignments that you will work on in a “near-synchronous” fashion. On some occasions you will work with an assigned group, so you and your group members will need to establish an arrangement that will ensure timely communication.
