What are my rights, as an employee on workplace harassment?
I am assuming you are in the UK. What your supervisor is doing is unlawful and is definitely harassment. Your employer should have a harassment policy and you should make use of it immediately. You will not have a say in what happens to the supervisor any action taken would be in line with the disciplinary procedures. This is a confidential process is between employer & employee. However, your complaint should make the treatment stop which is more important than knowing what happens to your harasser. Your employer is liable for the acts of its employees and they should realise that the supervisor is leaving them liable for legal action against them. If the harassment continues or the employer doesn’t deal with it then you can take your employer to an employment tribunal. You wil need to act swiftly as the tribunal form has to be submitted within 3 months of the last act of harassment. Whatever you do – dont do nothing too many workers suffer in silence at the hands of bullying managers
