What are my rights as a victim of a crime?
Section 42 of the Oregon State Constitution is entitled “Rights of Victims in Criminal Prosecutions and juvenile court delinquency proceedings.” This section guarantees the victims of crimes in Oregon the right to be informed in advance of and be present at all critical stages of the criminal proceeding and to be heard at certain stages as well.
