You and your staff must protect the children in care from child abuse, neglect, or exploitation, as required under chapter 26.44 RCW. If you or your staff have reasonable cause to believe that a child has suffered abuse or neglect, you or your staff must report the alleged incident to law enforcement or the department of social and health services child protective services (CPS) section in accordance with RCW 26.44.030.
