What are my options if my project is not in conformance with the Urban Renewal Plan?

If you are proposing a project that is not within the design guidelines or land use requirements of the urban renewal plan the project is located in, you may request that LCRA staff consider amending the existing urban renewal plan. Modification of existing urban renewal plans must be done by submitting an application along with the appropriate fees to LCRA staff (see Application Process). LCRA will then make a determination of whether the project being proposed is in the best interest of the community and that the land use is the appropriate land use for the development area. Any significant modification to an existing urban renewal plan must be approved by the City’s governing body. Multi-family, mixed-use and commercial projects must be approved by LCRA before any action is taken.
