What are my options for treating a fractured tooth?
Root canal treatment or extraction will both provide healing of the damage. Important or very large teeth are best treated endodontically to keep the tooth in function and to avoid the discomfort of surgical extraction. Small teeth that are less important and require less aggressive surgery may be best treated by extraction.
