Whether you are just starting therapy or having issues with your current administration, you should feel free to discuss various options with your doctor to make your therapy more convenient or comfortable. While many AVONEX users opt for self-injection, some patients have their injections administered by trained professionals (physicians or nurses) or trained caregivers (friends, spouses, or other family members). Also, be sure to discuss the various options with your insurance or financial assistance provider. You should verify whether certain options would be reimbursable under your current coverage. If you do choose to receive treatment at the doctor’s office, your doctor may arrange to have your AVONEX available there.
