What are my obligations as an employer of a nanny or carer?
You are obliged to register with the ATO as a Group Employer, pay your nanny or carer a Gross wage and withhold tax. If your nanny works more than 30 hours per week, you will need to contribute towards their superannuation. For more info – go to our Useful Links page. As a registered Milestonz Nannies’ family, you are also obliged to secure a workplace agreement with your nanny or carer, and take out Workcover insurance.
