What are my legal obligations as a result of the new Act?
Any legal obligations of R.P.F.s have not changed with the passage of the new Act. The Act does enable the Association to develop additional programs associated with the public interest e.g. mandatory continuing education and quality assurance and once these types of programs are developed and implemented it is likely that ones legal obligations would change. The changes would largely be in the area of record keeping and reporting to the Association and to the public in instances of a complaint being made against a member.
