What are my leave entitlements as a Trainee, particularly in relation to maternity leave?
In any one year trainees must do a minimum of 44 weeks of active clinical service/formal training or, on a pro rata basis, 22 weeks in a six-month training block. Standard leave entitlements (eg, holiday leave, sick leave, accumulated leave) and special leave arrangements (eg, maternity leave, extended sick leave, special circumstances leave) must be organised to ensure that this specified minimum is met.
