Call Consumer Direct on 08454 04 05 06 – they will give you basic advice and forward details to the relevant trading standards authorities I’ve been buying stuff (laptops, white goods) from Comet and even though they are (I believe) the same group, DSG retail, as Dixons PC World etc they seem more clued up – perhaps it is just the local store though.
