What are my chances of getting into oxford uni?
I agree with Old Cynic, there are many different types of intelligence and IQ doesn’t cover them all. I, for example, am not the best at Mathematics, but I’m good at English and Art which are two subjects that are not well measured by IQ tests. IQ only demonstrates one type of intelligence. Getting good results is always a good start, but Oxbridge get thousands of applicants a year from all across the world, so you need to prove you’re something special and that you have an interest in the subject you want to study. Right now you shouldn’t be thinking so much WHERE you want to study but WHAT you want to study. If you can take some extra activities on involved in that area (work experience and so on) you may find yourself in with a better chance. Also; work on your spelling and grammar – it counts in a personal statement and any small written tasks you might be asked to do in interview.
