What are my chances of being admitted from the waitlist?
The number of waitlist offers has varied widely from year to year, so it is impossible to predict your chances of being admitted from our waitlist. Approximately 23 candidates that were offered admission for Fall 2006 had initially been placed on our waitlist. However, our yield rate was very high in Fall 2007 and we were only able to admit two students from our waitlist. In Fall 2008, 15 students were admitted from the waitlist and nine were admitted in this past Fall 2009. Our goal is to offer admission to as many students from the waitlist as we can. Since not everyone is able to wait, it is important that you notify us as soon as possible (via email) if you would like to remain on the waitlist. It is also very helpful if you let us know if your status changes at any time!
