What are moving boxes recycled into?
Moving boxes are collected, baled and taken to a paper mill where it is mixed with hot water and turned into pulp. The pulp is screened for contaminants, cleaned, often de-inked and bleached, and then made into new paper products. Moving boxes are made from corrugated cardboard. After they are no longer able to be used for moving they can be recycled into new corrugated cardboard, boxboard (cereal, cake, chip and cracker boxes), puzzles, games and items such as tablet backing.
