Young animals have higher requirements for fluids than adult animals. * Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) due to immature liver enzymes or contributing factors like low birth rate, cold environment. Signs of low blood sugar are: lethargy and weakness, mental dullness, and eventually seizure.
