Modern Apprenticeships are run in Scotland by Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. They offer people aged over 16 the chance of paid employment linked with the opportunity to train for jobs at craft, technician and management level. e-skills UK has 3 approved Modern Apprenticeships Frameworks specific to Scotland. These are: • A Modern Apprenticeship for IT User • A Modern Apprenticeship for Contact Centres • A Modern Apprenticeship for Information & Communication Technologies Professionals All three frameworks contain the same components: • S/NVQ level 3 • Core Skills • Industry specific training Details of the content of the 3 Modern Apprenticeship are given in the downloadable apprenticeship framework documents.
