What are .MOD files?
MOD files contain the programs from plug in modules (application pacs). This file format allows multiple ROM images to reside in one file along with encoded parameters for automatic loading of pages and banks by emulators. It also includes info such as title, author, copyright, part number, etc. This site distributes only MOD files but there is a utility available that extracts the original .ROM files.
