What are Minnesotas major industries in terms of their contribution to the Gross State Product (GSP) ?
Services, finance/insurance/real estate (F.I.R.E.), and manufacturing are Minnesota’s largest sectors as measured by their contribution to the state’s value-added output, or GSP. In 1998, the services sector contributed $33.4 billion, while the F.I.R.E. and manufacturing sectors contributed $29.7 billion and $29.1 billion, respectively. GSP by industry is provided by the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
