What are logic puzzles, and why should I use them?
Logic is defined as the science of reasoning. As teachers and parents, our goal should be to teach students how to think logically. Knowledge is important, but the ability to apply that knowledge is even more important. We consider skills such as comprehending, making inferences, drawing conclusions, comparing and contrasting, and analyzing to be more important than memorization. Logic puzzles will help to develop these upper-level thinking skills, which will improve achievement in all academic areas. These skills are applicable not only in academic settings, but in all areas of life.
