What are likely to be the noise impacts of improvements to the amphitheater?
Noise impacts are being reviewed by the Consultants. It is anticipated however that because of the elevation change between the Transfer Facility and the Mall, most buses will not be heard from the Mall area and that bus sounds will be minimal. Noise impacts related to construction of improvements to the Amphitheater, are being studied by the designers. There are acoustical consultants associated with the design team who will help determine both sound qualities within the Amphitheater and sound impacts outside the Amphitheater. In the new project design, the stage would be lowered from its present position and moved slightly to the side to reduce sound impacts on areas neighboring the site.
