What are Lighthouses?
A Lighthouse is a gathering of women in a town or city who come together with a common goal of growing in their relationship with the Lord. Aglow has three types of lighthouses. An Aglow Community Lighthouse is a larger gathering of women in a city that is interdenominational in scope and flavor. Most often, a guest speaker will share a relevant biblical teaching or testimony of how God has touched her life. An Aglow Neighborhood Lighthouse meets in a woman’s home. The meeting could be a Bible Study, Prayer Group, Mentoring Group, or Support Group. The opportunities are limitless. An Aglow Workplace Lighthouse meets in the marketplace where the focus is to encourage spiritual awakening and development in women who work outside the home. From a Bible Study over lunch to power point discussion groups on conflict resolution, management skills, etc., to sharpening communication skills, an Aglow workplace lighthouse offers women in the marketplace common ground and the opportunity for perso
