A – Each council will appoint at least one Licensing Standards Officer (LSO) to provide information and guidance for licensees. LSOs will also supervise compliance with licence conditions, issue enforcement notices and act as intermediaries between licence holders and the general public to help resolve any disputes. LSOs will monitor premises and report breaches of licence conditions to the Licensing Board. Q – How will the Act deliver on its five licensing objectives: preventing crime and disorder; securing public safety; preventing public nuisance; protecting and improving public health; protecting children from harm?
