What are licensing and registration requirements for Virginia?
To qualify for a driver’s license in the state of Virginia, one must be a resident of Virginia and be at least 16 years and 3 months of age. To obtain a learner’s permit, one must be at least 15 years and 6 months of age. If one is under the age of 18, written consent from a parent or legal guardian is required unless the person is married or emancipated.
