What are Letters of No Objection and how do I get them?
A Letter of No Objection is needed for a Plat or Easement Vacation, a Street Vacation or a Property Exchange. Letters of No Objection are provided by Florida Power & Light, Verizon Telecommunications and Comcast Cable. The Petitioner or the representative of the petitioner contacts these service providers to obtain letters stating there is no objection to the vacation or exchange. A cover letter including your name and address, along with a copy of the sketch and survey must be forwarded to each service provider. Once you have received your Letters of No Objection, they must be included with your package. The letters must be written on their company letterhead. Contact information for service providers is located on the Notice to Applicant Sheet.
