What are Lectures, Laboratories and Tutorials?
Lectures are where students first hear the words and the learning begins – the “talking head” format! In tutorials, students are working in smaller groups to discuss and work on problems and assignments which are related to the lectures; and in laboratories students are getting the hands-on practical experience, but in both cases they are learning how to apply the information they have learned in the lecture.
