Most LadyBird craft boards are made of “ultra-light” (street name: LDF), a low-density fiberboard made of wood particles and glue. It is 1/2″ deep—perfect for the edge detail we apply. The smooth surface is great for applying expressions and it is an easy and fun medium to work with. We special-order it through our local hardware store as it is not commonly found at the big lumber chain stores.
