A – There are a some basic job types that are used for different types of applications. NB and A1 are used for new buildings or major alterations that will result in the issuance of a new Certificate of Occupancy. A2 and A3 reference smaller types of alterations and DM is for a demolition. Please review the BIS glossary for additional types of applications.
