What are Internet Streaming SIMD Extensions?
Internet Streaming SIMD Extensions are a set of instructions that are supported by the mobile Pentium® III processor. Single Instruction Multiple Data (SIMD) extensions significantly accelerate floating-point calculations used in 3D graphics applications and new Internet applications. These extensions also include additional integer and cache control instructions that improve other aspects of performance for Internet, video, imaging, and communications applications.
