What are intelligent words to use in a regular everyday conversation??
how intelligent? i use a lot of words that i don’t think are hard but other people do… so i’ll give you ones that stumped me! obfuscate- to confuse (this was on the PSAT i think and i looked it up and have remembered it since =]) hornswoggle- con deleterious- harmful popinjay- fop pettifogger- unscrupulous lawyer doggerel- comic verse parvenu- new wealthy upstart miasma- unhealthy air hoosegow- jail maladroit- clumsy mulct- swindle susurration- whisper coriacerous- leathery sorry most of those are just cool new words…maybe you’ll remember some. mellifluous was a sixth-grade vocab word- sweetly or smoothly flowing. paucity- scarcity panoply- a wide ranging array or display just read a lot!
