What are Insulated/Thermal Curtains?
Thermal curtains are, essentially, curtains that have insulating materials sewn in between the layers of decorative fabric. While roofs, walls and attics are insulated with fiberglass or mineral wool, it is not a good idea to use those materials to insulate curtains, as noted. While there is no real health risk posed, apart from getting a skin rash by touching insulation directly, there are better options available that won’t add so much bulk to the curtain, are easier to clean and are guaranteed to be safe.
