Inline skates have changed greatly over the years. They are made of various materials and as time goes by there are more indications that the current process may change, as well. Skating has been around for over 100 years but it was hockey players who developed the first inline skate in the 1980’s. According to madehow.com, Scott and Brennan Olson made the skate in the basement of their parent’s home. It was then that the Rollerblade Company was born.
