What are immigration prospects in Canada for an Indian IT strategy consultant?
If you have enough points to apply to Canada for immigration, and IF you are accepted, it is now over 5 years’ wait for admission. Canada has some truly excellent schools, nearly 10% unemployment, and probably has no real need for IT consultants that Canadians are incapable of filing. While you are waiting for admission until 2016 or later, Canadians will be filling those jobs. UK has extreme unemployment, labor riots have started here & there, and they have a new tax on expatriates living & working there. Can you afford a 30,000 pound tax bill annually? Real unemployment rates in the US have been running over 20% since last spring, are now over 22%, and a new wave of layoffs has just begun. There are no jobs in the US. The only country with both economic and labor demand growth at present is India. As an Indian citizen, you have priority. You do not want to be perceived as “taking a job from a citizen” when much of the world’s job markets are in meltdown. Your best job bet these days
