What are image quality modes, and which are available in the Stylus 810?
Image quality modes dictate the size (pixel resolution) and compression ratio of the digital files created by the camera when it records pictures and movies. As resolution and image quality increase, so does the file size, which means fewer files can be stored. Image file quality is indicated as SHQ (Super High Quality), HQ (High Quality), SQ1 (Standard Quality) and SQ2 (Standard Quality with greater compression). Movie file quality is indicated as SHQ, HQ and SQ. The Stylus 810 supports the following resolutions: Still images: 3264 x 2448 (SHQ / HQ); 2560 x 1920, 2304 x 1728, and 2048 x 1536 (SQ1); and 1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 1024 x 768, and 640 x 480 (SQ2). Movies: 640 x 480 at 30 frames per second (SHQ); 320 x 240 at 30 fps (HQ); and 160 x 120 at 15 fps (SQ).
