What are IES courses like?
IES courses have characteristics of both U.S. and local university courses without being identical to either. Courses have syllabi with required and recommended readings, a midterm evaluation, a final exam, and/or oral presentations and written papers. You are required to come to class prepared, and courses generally require more self discipline and independent study than is often expected of undergraduates in the U.S.
