What are Honors Thesis Grants?
The FSU Honors Office will award several grants of up to $1,000 each to support research or creative activity leading to an Honors Thesis as part of the Honors in the Major Program. Funding will come from the Bess Ward Endowment, which was established at FSU in 1994 by a bequest from the estate of Bess H. Ward, a 1929 graduate of the Florida State College for Women. The grants are intended to pay for travel (either to perform the research or report the results at a regional, national or international meeting) or expenditures for expense items or small equipment items directly related to the thesis research. Current Honors students can find more information about thesis grants on Blackboard, under “Honors Program @ FSU”. Click on the Honors Thesis Grant link in the index to the left.
