Car Kit – A car kit includes a docking station, which is where the radio actually sits. You have to mount it in a convenient spot on your dash or center console. All power and signal connections are made here. You will also receive a power adapter which plugs into the cradle at one end and into your vehicle’s cigarette lighter or power port at the other. The third component of the car kit is the antenna which is what you need to receive the satellite signal. Mount the antenna the roof of your vehicle, then connect the cable to the cradle. Home Kit – A home kit allows you to listen to your plug & play receiver in your home. It’s similar to a car kit in that it includes a docking station, power adapter and antenna.
