What are higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs)?

0

HLTAs are usually senior support staff currently working in schools who have the potential to play an extended role in the classroom and further improve the quality of teaching and learning. Individuals need to follow one of two training routes in order to be awarded HLTA status. Only individuals who currently work as teaching assistants or in a related post, with at least two years experience can apply for training.
