What are HHW and how can they be disposed of?
The definition of household hazardous waste, or HHW, includes any chemical product identified as corrosive, explosive, flammable or toxic. Never throw HHW in the garbage, the toilet, the sink or the sewers. Store them in locations that are out of children’s reach and away from heat and cold. You can dispose of your HHW during your city’s annual HHW collection or leave them at one of our recovery parks located in Joliette and in St-Thomas.
