What are Headrails, Bottomrails, and Valance?

Headrails are the aluminum top of the blind. They hold the mechanical components that operate the blind. They are hidden from view by the valance. Bottomrails are made of the same material as the blind slats (i.e. wood or faux-wood) and are usually 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and are positioned at the bottom of the blind. Valances are made of the same materials as the blind slats (i.e. wood or fauxwood) and hides the headrail at the top of the blind.
